Hyatt Regency Dallas GM Receives Donald N. Pritzker Award
DALLAS, TX, September 30, 2007. Hyatt Hotels & Resorts announced today that Hyatt Regency Dallas General Manager Steve Vissotzky receives the "Donald N. Pritzker Award of Excellence" for 2006. Thirteen general managers from 117 U.S.-based hotels were nominated for this prestigious award. The award was presented to Vissotzky at the annual General Managers Meeting held in Scottsdale, AZ, September 26-29, 2007.
The Donald N. Pritzker Award was established in 1979 to honor Hyatt's most outstanding General Managers. Criteria for winning this award include: overall achievement in the financial success of the property, outstanding guest service experience, successful achievement of customer satisfaction and meeting planner scores, creation of a positive work environment as evidenced by employee opinion surveys, overall display of leadership qualities that are valued by Hyatt including: creativity, initiative, high-energy, business acumen, positive owner relations and communications skills.
With more than 27 years at Hyatt, Vissotzky has served in his current position for eight years. Prior to joining Hyatt Regency Dallas in 1999, Vissotzky served as general manager in Miami and previously as general manager in Cambridge. He has served in the general manager role for the past 20 years.

Actively involved in the community, Vissotzky currently serves on the board of directors for the Hotel Association of Greater Dallas, Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB) and the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association. He has served as president of the Hotel Association of Greater Dallas as well as on the board of directors for the Downtown Improvement District and Central Dallas Association. Vissotzky holds bachelors of Science degrees in business and hotel management from Washington State University.
