. October 14, 2008

CONCORD, NH, July 26, 2007. The Grappone Conference Center and adjacent Courtyard by Marriott in Concord, NH recently underwent $1.3 million in comprehensive renovations. The 90-room Courtyard by Marriott and 10,000 square foot Grappone Conference Center is owned by Steve Duprey through Capital Hotel Company, and is managed by Waterford Hotel Group , a national hotel management firm with headquarters in Waterford, Connecticut. Since its opening in 2001, the Grappone Conference Center and adjacent hotel has been host to many high profile events, including numerous presidential hopefuls on the campaign trail.

In order to maintain the overall appeal and commitment to quality, the conference center underwent a complete transformation by installing all new carpeting, wall coverings, window treatments, lobby d'ecor and new automatic sliding doors for easier accessibility. "With over one hundred thousand visitors annually, it is important to keep the conference center fresh and new looking. This update provides an entirely new color scheme and a totally new look," commented Duprey. Contracting services for the project were provided by The Castalot Group, LLC.

During the Courtyard by Marriott renovations, the facility was completely redecorated to implement Marriott's latest product designs. All guestroom furniture, bath fixtures, carpeting, wall coverings, window treatments and artwork were replaced. Extending from the guestrooms and corridors, a reconstruction and update was made to the hotel's lobby, front desk, restaurant and lounge area, including the addition of an executive business center and bar. In keeping with the new trends in hotel design, interior designers Nancy Ahearn & Company used a variety of bright decorative colors and functional elements to add innovative style and energy throughout the entire property.
