Wyndham Names EVP of Hospitality Services
JULY 25, 2007. Wyndham Vacation Ownership announced today that Gary T. Byrd Jr. has been promoted to executive vice president of hospitality services.
Byrd joined Wyndham Vacation Ownership in October 2006. In his new assignment, he will develop the vision and strategic direction for every facet of Wyndham Vacation Ownership's Hospitality Division, ensuring a world-class experience for our more than 800,000 owners and their guests.
Prior to joining WVO, Byrd held several leadership positions with Hilton Grand Vacation Club including, most recently, that of Senior Vice President, Resort Operations. His previous resort management experience also includes high-level assignments with Promus Hotel Corporation at properties located in Myrtle Beach, Kansas City and New Orleans. Byrd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University. He will be based at the company's headquarters in Orlando, Fla.
