JULY 16, 2007. The Chief Financial Officer for Columbia Sussex Corp. and Tropicana Casinos & Resorts has resigned to pursue other interests. The company said that it has initiated an executive search to replace senior vice president Richard M. FitzPatrick, who joined the company in 2006 to spearhead the acquisition and financing of Tropicana's recent purchase of Aztar Corporation. FitzPatrick had previously served as CFO for publicly and privately held real estate investment firms including Prime Group Realty Trust, Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc., The Hampstead Group, LLC, Bristol Hotels & Resorts and Americana Hotels, Inc.

Columbia Sussex and Tropicana owner and CEO William J. Yung said that FitzPatrick played an important role in the largest acquisition in his company's history.

"Rich was a source of invaluable assistance on the financial side and we wish him well in his future endeavors," he said.
