Wyndham Appoints Senior VP and Treasurer
JULY 10, 2007. Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN) announced the appointment of Christopher Feeney as senior vice president and treasurer.
Feeney, who will report to Gina Wilson, chief financial officer, will lead the development, analysis and execution of financial strategies; manage Wyndham Worldwide relationships with financial institutions and ratings agencies; and oversee treasury operations, risk management and cash management. He will also serve as a close partner in Wyndham Worldwide corporate development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate development and advancing the strategic initiatives of the company's business units: Wyndham Hotel Group, Wyndham Vacation Ownership and Group RCI.
Feeney previously was senior vice president of Mergers and Acquisitions for Sunrise Senior Living, Inc., a senior living service provider that operates over 440 senior living communities worldwide.
Among his undertakings at Sunrise Senior Living Inc., he led the acquisition of six communities as well as the acquisition of a hospice care company. He was also involved in sourcing equity and construction-debt financing.
Prior to that, Feeney held various positions at Marriott International, Inc., including vice president, Mergers and Acquisitions. While at Marriott, he negotiated leases, developed non-U.S. profit-sharing rent and tax structures with in-country advisors, managed relationships with investment banks and acquired a fitness club brand as a new business platform.
Before joining Marriott, he held positions with Ernst & Young, LLP; Ocwen Financial Corporation; and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Washington & Jefferson College, Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Virginia, and masters degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
