SoftBrands Announces "Pay As You Go" Pricing for Independents

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, June 21, 2007. SoftBrands Inc. (AMEX: SBN), a global supplier of enterprise application software, today released a pricing model aimed at making it easier for independent hotels to benefit from the latest in property management system (PMS) technology. SoftBrands' new pricing model reduces the need for a hotel to secure capital expenditures and make the typical one-time, up front payment by instead charging a monthly rate per room.

Under the new pricing model, hotels will pay as little as $6.95 per room per month for license and extraordinary 24x7x365 worldwide support. In many cases, this will allow the hotel to cover the cost of the new software as an operating expense without having to draw on scarce capital expenditure funds. The pricing applies to its Medallion PMS offering for independent hotels.

The Medallion PMS is specifically targeted at helping independent and boutique hotels better manage today's highly demanding and complex hotel operations. The application includes a customizable interface that supports 27 languages. Medallion is currently operating in more than 1,000 hotels around the world and offers a certified two-way interface to Best Western's central reservation system.
