Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Names Hotel Manager
VANCOUVER, BC, Canada, June 18, 2007. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts recently named Rick Corcoran as Hotel Manager, The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Born and raised in Quebec City, he returns to Canada from his most recent position as Director, Food & Beverage, The Fairmont San Francisco.
Corcoran's career in the hotel industry began in 1989, when he joined The Fairmont Le Ch^ateau Frontenac as Second Cook and then earned his Diploma from the Institut du Tourisme et d'H^otellerie du Quebec. In 1991 Corcoran moved to the Hilton Quebec and worked in progressive positions including Assistant Restaurant Manager, Assistant Chief Steward/Beverage Supervisor and Assistant Executive Housekeeper. Two years later he returned to The Fairmont Le Ch^ateau Frontenac as Restaurant Manager. In 1997 Corcoran stepped into a Catering Manger role at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and was promoted to Banquet Manager the following year. He returned to Quebec in 1999, three months after the opening of The Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, where he served as Director, Food & Beverage. 2002 found Corcoran back at The Fairmont Le Ch^ateau Frontenac once again, where he served as Director of Food & Beverage until moving into his most recent capacity at The Fairmont San Francisco in 2004.
