CoralTree Residence Collection Appoints Area Managing Director in Hawaii

Mike Cuthbertson, senior vice president of the residential resort management for CoralTree Hospitality, announced that Steven Rose has been appointed area managing director of Hawaii for the CoralTree Residence Collection. Rose will be responsible for overseeing operations for the company's portfolio of residential resorts, vacation rentals and homeowners associations under management on Maui, Kauai and the Island of Hawaii. With more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and residential resorts, Rose brings a wealth of expertise, a passion for service and a deep connection to the Hawaiian culture to the position.

For Rose, the new role marks his return to Hawaii having lived in Maui from 2010-2014. Throughout his career, Rose has had the privilege of living and working in some of the most picturesque destinations from Maui to New Mexico and Colorado's Vail Valley. He started his more than three decades in hospitality working in food and beverage in Denver before leading hotel operations for several resort properties at Beaver Creek Resort and then managing the iconic American Club at Destination Kohler in Wisconsin. He returned to the ski industry managing the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth, Calif. before trading snow for sand beaches as the general manager of the Honua Kai Resort & Spa in Kaanapali.

Rose's emphasis on residential resort management took shape when he returned to the mountains to open The Blake at Taos Ski Valley, a lifestyle, art hotel. He most recently was the general manager of The Landmark Towers in Denver, a luxury high-rise residential development.

His personal life mirrors his passion for the outdoors. Together with his wife Marcia, they enjoy skiing, cycling, hiking with their Portuguese Water Dog named Koa, stand-up paddling, cooking, reading and traveling.

The CoralTree Residence Collection includes vacation rental management properties in the Florida Keys, Vail and Snowmass in Colorado as well as properties on three islands - Kauai, Hawaii Island, and Maui - in Hawaii. Properties include Wild Dunes in South Carolina, The Islands of Islamorada Resort in Florida, Kaanapali Alii and Wailea Beach Villas on Maui, The Lodge at Kukui'ula on Kauai, Villas at Snowmass Club and Top of the Village in Snowmass as well as Montaneros and The Landmark in Vail. The portfolio of residential resorts and vacation rentals includes more than 1,200residences and 26 homeowners associations under management.
