Omni's Texas Collection Unveils Kids' Sensory Suites
Vibrant Suites Designed with the Help of Children Provide Comfort and Entertainment for Families
MAY 30, 2007. To spoil its youngest guests, the Omni Hotels' Texas Collection is kicking off summer with the introduction of Kids' Sensory Suites. These vibrant guestrooms are designed to provide the comforts of home and stimulate the senses of young travelers, featuring twin beds with colorful bedding, beanbag chairs, an art table, board games, books cozy bath robes, aquatic-themed bath accessories and a complimentary Kids' Sensation Bar filled with toys, trinkets and snacks.
For special counsel on this out-of-the-ordinary project, Omni Hotels assembled an informal advisory board of 10-year-old children. Together, the children shopped to find the right room accessories and Kids' Sensation Bar items to ensure the guestrooms' appeal to kids. From the fish-shaped bath mats to board games, each item in the suite was selected with one ultimate goal in mind -- pure fun!
"We know children can bore easily when traveling. Travel for kids should be filled with anticipation," said Jim Snow, regional vice president for Omni Hotels. "The Kids' Sensory Suites are a great way for parents and kids to unwind when they arrive at an Omni; they provide unique entertainment many families are not used to finding at a luxury hotel."
The Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark, Omni Corpus Christi Hotel, Omni Houston Hotel near the Galleria, Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas in the Dallas area and the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade will offer traveling families the luxury guestroom 'fit for a kid' beginning in June, 2007.
Kids' Fantasy Suites debuted at the Omni California properties in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco in May 2005. The response from children and their parents has been overwhelmingly positive, leading to the additions in Texas.
