La Quinta to Give Little Rock Acquisition a $4 mil Facelift
DALLAS, TX, October 11, 2006. The La Quinta Inn & Suites - Little Rock Downtown located at 617 South Broadway will undergo a major renovation beginning this month. La Quinta purchased the 260-room hotel, formerly a Clarion, in May and plans to spend more than $4 million on the project with an estimated completion date of March 2007. The purchase of this hotel is part of La Quinta's corporate growth strategy to increase market share and brand presence in key strategic markets.
The exterior and interior areas of the hotel will be updated including guestrooms, lobby, meeting space and public areas. The hotel will add 26 new suites to its inventory bringing the total number of suites in the hotel to 48. In addition, all guestrooms will be given a new d'ecor package including bedspreads, linens, shower curtains and showerheads. Pillow-top mattresses and microfridges will also be added to all king rooms and suites.
The La Quinta Inn & Suites-Little Rock Downtown is conveniently located seven miles from the Little Rock National Airport and less than a mile from the State Capitol, Clinton Presidential Library, Robinson Convention Center, Statehouse Convention Center and other area attractions.
