Orlando CVB Appoints SVP of Global Publicity
ORLANDO, CA, May 25, 2007. The Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. (Orlando CVB) has named Danielle Saba Courtenay, APR senior vice president of global publicity and public affairs. Courtenay joined the Orlando CVB as director of public relations in 1995 and was named vice president in 1998. In her 12 years at the Orlando CVB, she has directed the long-term strategy and the daily public relations activities of professionals headquartered in Orlando and five international offices. Courtenay has expanded the practice of public relations at the Orlando CVB, overseeing leisure tourism and convention publicity efforts, crisis communications, issue management, Web content development and community partnerships. Her expanded role will include a greater emphasis on global branding as well as government, community and industry relations.

Prior to joining the Orlando CVB, Courtenay was the vice president of an advertising and public relations firm servicing major accounts in the travel and tourism industry. She is an accredited public relations professional and an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, Society of American Travel Writers, Destination Marketing Association International and serves as vice chair of the Communications Council of the Travel Industry Association of America as well as on the myregion.org Quality of Life Implementation Task Force.
