Le Meridien Names DSM for Tahiti and Bora Bora
MAY 23, 2007. Le M'eridien Tahiti and Le M'eridien Bora Bora have announced the appointment of Nicolas Orget as Director of Sales and Marketing. A talent in his field with broad international experience at luxury hotels including Le M'eridien Copacabana and Le M'eridien Nice, Orget is responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for the sister seaside resorts.
"Nicolas has revealed superb abilities to market Le M'eridien's European-style luxury in Rio de Janeiro and Nice, and we look forward to his leadership in Bora Bora and Tahiti," said Dominique Michaud, General Manager of Le M'eridien Tahiti.
Prior to joining Le M'eridien in French Polynesia, Orget was General Manager of Elcotour, an incentive and specialty tour outfit based in Rio de Janeiro. Prior to that he spent several years with Le M'eridien, first as Yield Manager for Le M'eridien Nice from 1999-2001, and then as Director of Sales and Marketing for Le M'eridien Copacabana from 2002-2005. Orget got his start in hospitality in the early 1990s with Hilton International, including assisting in the opening of Hilton properties in Bucharest and Jerusalem.
Born and raised in Bordeaux, France, Orget studied hospitality and catering in Paris in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He will reside in Tahiti.
Located along a lagoon on one of the most beautiful - and unique - white-sand beaches of Tahiti, Le M'eridien Tahiti is perfectly integrated into the luxuriant vegetation on the island. The thoroughly modern resort offers 138 garden- and lagoon-view rooms and suites, as well as 12 Polynesian-style, over-water bungalows.
Set on the "Pearl of the Pacific," Le M'eridien Bora Bora is located on a six-mile-long "motu" islet, facing Otemanu Mountian, within one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. The hotel has 99 bungalows including 4 lagoon bungalows, 14 beach bungalows, and 81 over-water bungalows - the last featuring glass flooring for stunning views of marine life frolicking in the clear blue sea below.
