Rosewood Appoints Senior Vice President

APRIL 30, 2007. Rosewood Hotels & Resort announced the appointment of George Fong to the position of Senior Vice President Architecture and Design, effective May 1, 2007.

In his new role, Mr. Fong will be responsible for overseeing the design, architecture and construction aspects of new projects and property openings as well as renovations of existing properties.

A seasoned veteran at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Mr. Fong has worked for over 12 years in various design and construction related positions at the company, leaving his mark on renowned properties such as Las Ventanas al Para'iso, A Rosewood Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, The Lanesborough in London and many others. Upon his departure in 1998, Mr Fong held the position of Vice President of Design and Construction.

Prior to originally joining Rosewood, Mr. Fong spent five years with Regent International Hotels as Director of Engineering and Project Management where he supervised various projects and opened hotels in Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States. Mr Fong is returning to Rosewood from Starwood's luxury brands, St. Regis and Luxury Collection where he was Vice President of Technical Services and Project Management for the past six years.
