PHILADELPHIA, PA, October 16, 2006. ARAMARK Harrison Lodging (AHL) announced it has received two prestigious awards recognizing the company's environmental stewardship, including the 2006 Environmental Achievement Award from the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI); and a 2006 Governor's Pride in Arizona Award from Arizona Clean and Beautiful. AHL, a division of ARAMARK (NYSE: RMK), is a leading provider of meeting and recreational support services to conference and corporate training centers, specialty hotels, national and state parks, resorts and other tourist destinations throughout the United States.

"Protecting the natural resources is a vital part of our company's service and commitment to our guests, employees and neighbors," said Dean Crane, Vice President of Operations for ARAMARK Harrison Lodging. "We are grateful for the recognition from the U.S. Department of the Interior and Arizona Clean and Beautiful as it recognizes the company's continued dedication to protecting and maintaining the environments that we help manage."

The DOI's Environmental Achievement Award recognizes Doyon/ARAMARK, a joint venture between Doyon Limited, one of 13 Native regional corporations, and ARAMARK for its environmental management programs at Denali National Park and Preserve. Doyon/ARAMARK has implemented an environmental management system that includes recycling, sustainable cuisine, an environmentally preferable purchasing policy, energy and resource conservation, solid waste reduction and reduced harmful emissions. This is the second time ARAMARK has won the award. In 2000, ARAMARK was the first concessionaire to receive this award for its environmental operations at Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas.

ARAMARK-managed Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas was awarded first place by Arizona Clean and Beautiful in the environmental leadership category of the Governor's Pride in Arizona Awards for its environmentally preferable purchasing and recycling programs and for installing EcoRooms(TM) featuring over a dozen guestroom products that are energy efficient, water efficient, waste reducing, non-toxic or biodegradable.

In addition, ARAMARK recently won a prestigious Pollution Prevention Award from the Utah Pollution Prevention (P2) Association and the Utah Department of Environmental Quality.
