Educational Institute Offers Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) in Spanish
ORLANDO, FL, March 19, 2008. The Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) professional certification is the pinnacle of excellence for hospitality professionals. Now, the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) is making CHA study materials and the CHA examination available in Spanish, making it easier and more convenient for Spanish-speaking general managers, hotel corporate executives, and owner/operators to prepare for this certification.
For the same price as the English-language CHA, candidates can receive the three-volume CHA study guide and 200-question, multiple-choice examination in Spanish. The CHA application, available on the EI Web site, has been redesigned to include a check-off box where candidates can indicate their preference for the Spanish CHA materials.
Because individual backgrounds vary widely in the hospitality industry, applicants may pursue the CHA designation through one of three options: Plan A emphasizes an education background; Plan B emphasizes industry experience; and Plan C emphasizes early entry. All plans require documented evidence of managerial experience and successful completion of a comprehensive examination.

Established in 1953 as a nonprofit educational foundation of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the Educational Institute's mission is to support AH&LA by becoming the preferred provider to the lodging industry, hospitality schools, and related hospitality industries both domestically and internationally by developing and providing quality resources to train, educate, and certify hospitality professionals.
