Expedia Hooks Up with Sol Melia
MAY 21, 2008. Leading online travel company, Expedia, has announced it has signed a long-term, global supply agreement with the Spanish hotel chain, Sol Melia. Under the agreement, all Sol Melia properties will be available for booking on Expedia and hotels.com branded sites worldwide. This is the first agreement between Expedia and Sol Melia, and marks the first distribution agreement for Sol Melia covering all of its properties globally.

The agreement provides Sol Melia access to the Expedia online marketing and travel distribution expertise, dynamic rate management, and targeted merchandising opportunities to reach travellers throughout Europe, Asia and North America. In turn, Expedia customers can book accommodations at Sol Melia hotels and resorts worldwide, including the Melia Hotels & Resorts, ME by Melia, TRYP Hotels, Sol Hotels and Paradisus Resorts brands.
Sol Melia has nearly 350 hotels in 30 countries. Sol Melia hotels will access Expedia's global online travel marketplace through Expedia Connect, Expedia's industry leading direct connection solution for chain hotels.
