MAY 29, 2008. Wyndham Vacation Ownership has opened two new unique resorts in the southwestern United States, WorldMark Taos in New Mexico and WorldMark Las Vegas - Tropicana in Nevada. Expanding the company's presence in one of the most popular resort destinations in the U.S. - the desert southwest, the properties will operate within the company's WorldMark by Wyndham portfolio of products.

'We pride ourselves on providing our owners with a variety of resort options that are as distinctive as they are, and with WorldMark Las Vegas - Tropicana and WorldMark Taos, we are again offering them additional vacation experiences,' said Gary Byrd, executive vice president, Hospitality Services, Wyndham Vacation Ownership.

WorldMark Las Vegas - Tropicana is a tranquil oasis set near the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. This quiet resort offers 208 well-appointed one-, two- and two-bedroom deluxe units each with kitchens or kitchenettes, a living room, and washer and dryer. After exploring the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, casinos or the area's natural landmarks, visitors can enjoy WorldMark Las Vegas - Tropicana's outdoor pool, five outdoor jetted spas, fitness room and barbeque grills. The resort offers shuttle service to and from the shows and casinos of the Strip and with its location just off of the main thoroughfare, is an ideal space to bring family and friends for a desert vacation.

Las Vegas continues to be a desirable destination for both Wyndham Vacation Ownership owners and travelers in general. WorldMark Las Vegas - Tropicana marks the company's fourth resort in Las Vegas complementing Wyndham Grand Desert, WorldMark Las Vegas and WorldMark Las Vegas Spencer Street. The company has also recently announced the start of construction of Wyndham Desert Blue next to the Rio Hotel & Casino that is anticipated to complete its initial phase in early 2010.

WorldMark Taos, located in Taos, N.M., is a popular destination with a multitude of year-round activities, art galleries and celebrated culture. The company acquired the Fechin Inn hotel from Taos Lodging Associates Limited Partnerships in early 2007 and has renovated it into 67 vacation ownership units. Featuring a design inspired by the architecture of the area, the resort has many amenities for guests to enjoy, including an outdoor pool and spa, outdoor children's pool, fitness room, game room, laundry room and outdoor barbeque grills. WorldMark Taos' units are a mix of studio, studio plus, one- and two-bedroom units that offer relaxing retreats after a day of skiing, sledding, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking or golf. Taos is home to a thriving artists' community and contains a number of museums and shops for visitors to explore.

In a recent survey of WorldMark owners in New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma, Taos was ranked as one of the most desirable resort locations. Located at the foot of the Sangre de Christo Mountains and featuring more than 300 days of sun every year, Taos is an ideal destination for experiencing the natural beauty and outdoor activities of the Southwestern United States.

Wyndham Vacation Ownership entered the New Mexico market in the summer of 2006 by opening its first WorldMark sales center in Albuquerque. It also opened its first 21-unit ski-in, ski-out resort, WorldMark Red River in December 2007.
