ASTA Premium Membership Renewal Campaign a Success
ALEXANDRIA, VA, June 25, 2008. ASTA announced today that its Premium Membership renewal campaign was a success with 91 percent of Premium Members renewing. ASTA's new category of membership was launched in January of 2007, along with its new business model.
"ASTA is proud to boast such a high percentage of Premium Membership renewals," said Cheryl Hudak, CTC, ASTA president and CEO. "Travel professionals who join ASTA as Premium Members do so for a variety of reasons. Whether it's the free customized research hours, public relations assistance, legal consultation or member-only events, Premium Members are finding that it is easier to get connected, stay connected and prosper within the travel industry because of all that ASTA offers."
"Premium Membership with ASTA has helped Cardoza Travel Services expand its business through media training, member reports and the many other resources we have been given," said Mary Cardoza, CTIE and president and CEO of Cardoza Travel. "There is no better way to stay connected to the industry than by staying informed with ASTA and the great service Premium members are provided."
ASTA currently has 157 Premium Members. Due to the success of this program, international members petitioned ASTA to form an International Premium Membership category, which was approved by the ASTA Board of Directors in April. ASTA will soon begin marketing this new membership category.
