Continental Micronesia Promotes Guam in Japanese Newspapers
OCTOBER 24, 2006. Continental Micronesia forged a marketing partnership with Yamada Denki, Japan's largest retailer, to raffle off 50 tickets to Guam to promote leisure travel to the island. Guam is marketing itself through Yamada Denki's 27 million sales inserts distributed via 50 newspapers in Japan in August and September. The airline serves eight Japanese cities.
"This Campaign is a fine example of Continental using relationships to build media coverage for Guam that neither Continental nor GVB (Guam Visitors Bureau) could afford on her own," said Continental Micronesia Staff Vice President for Sales and Marketing, Mr Wally Dias. The campaign has received approximately 200,000 responses from customers for free tickets to Guam.
