Eden Roc Appoints Allison Thomas as DF
MIAMI BEACH, FL, October 13, 2008. The Bold New Eden Roc Renaissance Beach Resort & Spa is proud to announce the addition of Allison Thomas as Director of Finance. Thomas joins the team as the Bold New Eden Roc is nearing completion of its $180 million transformation and is set to re-open this Fall.
"I am pleased to announce the addition of Allison Thomas to our executive team," said General Manager Gary Gentile. "Allison's extensive experience within the Marriott organization and her in-depth knowledge of financial management for the hospitality industry will be key for us as we open the Bold New Eden Roc this Fall."
After graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, Thomas took an accounts receivable position at the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, Kentucky, and has been a member of the Marriott family ever since. Most recently, she served as Director of Finance and Accounting at the Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Coralville, Iowa.
After 18 months and a $180 million transformation, the Bold New Eden Roc emerges as a chic icon of style and sophistication on Miami Beach in Fall/Winter 2008. With the redesign of the original Resort Tower and the addition of the sleek new 21-story Ocean Tower, the resort's Bold Transformation has almost doubled its size from 349 guest rooms to 631 oversized guest rooms, including three 25,000+ sq. ft. penthouse suites, 18 oceanfront one-bedroom suites, 15 bi-level bungalow suites with floating staircases and a grand total of 70,000 sq. ft. event space and public areas, a 21,000 sq. ft. destination spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The focal point of the Bold New Eden Roc will be an oasis of pools, water features and gardens, threaded with walkways and intimate seating areas.
