Staff Presentation Key for New Look Hilton Sydney
The Hilton Sydney will be showcasing more than their building refurbishment when they re-open on July 15. The hotel's service team have also enjoyed an image makeover with staff sporting stylish new uniforms designed and manufactured to empower superior service and enhance the property's unique ambiance.
Prominent Australian designer Tina Kalivas designed the uniform range which was then manufactured by uniform specialists, Ranier Design Group.
"My brief was to create an original, modern look for Hilton Sydney. With my own fashion label and a history in costume design, I enjoyed condensing my design scope into practical, attractive clothing designed to suit all body shapes, personalities and age groups.
"Working closely with the Hilton and Ranier Design Group meant that I was constantly balancing design and practicality. Every service department has specific functions to fulfil so we were careful to choose fabrics that were comfortable for staff to wear yet manageable and durable. Ranier Design Group played a very important part in this process because with their years of experience and expertise they knew how to turn my creations into functional, beautifully tailored uniforms while keeping my strong design aesthetic alive".
Ranier Design Group is responsible for manufacturing the uniform program which consists of more than 2000 garments. The organisation's Director of Design, Carolyn Casaceli regards the Hilton Sydney uniform program as classic case study in achieving the delicate balance between high visual impact and superior functionality.
"Working with Tina on the Hilton Sydney project has been a positive and rewarding experience for our production team. While the majority of projects we undertake include the full scope of design and production requirements, it was beneficial for us to take an external design brief and focus on manufacturing high specification, functional garments in accordance with Tina's design objectives.
"The Hilton Sydney project certainly sets a new benchmark in combining style and sophistication with practical, long life designs. I have no doubt that all stakeholders share our sense of satisfaction and appreciation in seeing Tina's fabulous designs come to life".
General Manager of the Hilton Sydney, Mr Michael Nalborczyk says his team are thrilled with the uniform range, which projects their service commitment and professionalism.
"The new Hilton Sydney promises the very highest standard of service and facilities. There's no question that Tina's uniform range has helped inspire our team to deliver on this promise and we look forward to welcoming our guests with an unfailing commitment to exceeding their expectations".
