InnPoints Wraps Up First Conference
655 Hotels Represented
ALBUQUERQUE, NM, January 27, 2009 - InnPoints Worldwide, provider of reservation marketing and technology solutions for independent hotels, hosted its first ever client conference at InnPoints Headquarters January 21-23rd. The event included clients from 655 hotels, representing 100,515 rooms worldwide, and was sponsored by Sabre Travel Network.
The conference kicked off with a Vendor Showcase, where ten of InnPoints' strategic partners exhibited, including EZYield, ICE Portal, PowerPay, Planet Payment and RateTiger. Conference events included breakout sessions by Priceline, Hotel Travel Check and Open Hospitality, and a lively panel discussion featuring InnPoints Chairman Randall Reviere. The Conference Keynote Speaker, New Mexico State Tourism Cabinet Secretary Michael Cerletti, addressed the effects of the economy on the travel industry and provided insight for a brighter 2009.
Both independent hotels, independent chains and hotel management groups were represented at the first annual conference. Sharlie Glass, Director of Revenue Management for Inn of the Governors of Santa Fe, was just one of many hoteliers in attendance. "I am always impressed by how progressive InnPoints is in their approach to advancing their technology and services, but what is really so valuable is their level of interaction with us - their users - at this conference."
"This conference confirmed InnPoints is the company for us and our properties," said Erin Butler, Revenue Manager for Regency Hotel Management, a Sioux Falls based company that owns and manages more than 50 properties. "I enjoyed the size and number of people....it was great networking with a very fun and talented group of people." Barbara Conley, Director of Sales for Regency's ClubHouse Inn & Suites Albuquerque, thought the conference "was a great way to start the year off right.".
