Third Hotel Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright Receiving a $17 million Renovation
MASON CITY, IA, January 29, 2009 - Wright on the Park, Inc. is pleased to announce that Inn Development & Management (IDM) Group, LLC has been chosen as the hotelier for the upcoming Park Inn Hotel in Mason City, Iowa.

The Park Inn Hotel in Mason City was the third hotel designed by Wright and served as the prototype for Midway Gardens in Chicago and the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo, which was torn down in 1962.
The Park Inn Hotel is the last remaining Frank Lloyd Wright hotel in the world, and was completed by this world-renowned architect in 1910 together with the City National Bank building, across from the Central Park in Mason City. The hotel's $17M-20M renovation is being led by Wright on the Park, Inc. with the goal of completion by the end of 2010. The hotel will have 27 guest rooms and suites, a restaurant, bar and ballroom seating 200 people. Wright on the Park, Inc. will utilize State and Federal tax credits, Vision Iowa grant money plus private donations to fund the project.
IDM Group, LLC is also working with the owners of the Hotel Julien Dubuque as Development Consultant as the $28M renovation and restoration project nears completion. A June 1, 2009 opening is planned for the 133 room hotel. IDM will also be the Management company for the independent historic boutique hotel.
