USTA's TravelCom Conference Offers 'Tough Times Deal'
Three for Two Special to Attend TravelCom'09, March 31 to April 2
WASHINGTON, DC, March 10, 2009 - The U.S. Travel Association has announced a three-for-two special registration offer to attend TravelCom'09, the Association's eCommerce and distribution conference, to provide some help during these tough economic times.
This year's conference focuses on the growing role of eCommerce and digital distribution during the recession. Organizations that purchase two registrations receive a third one free. All registrations must be made at the same time. The special rate may not be applied retroactively or combined with another offer.
"As travel companies increasingly turn to the online world to reach travelers more efficiently, TravelCom is an educational opportunity not to be missed. This year's show was designed to help companies generate revenue, cut costs, work efficiently and stay competitive," said Vickie Singer, General Manager of TravelCom'09. "In an effort to help as much of the industry as possible attend, we developed the special registration rate."
Leading the speaker lineup for TravelCom is Southwest Airlines Founder and Chairman Emeritus Herbert D. Kelleher, who will receive the U.S. Travel Association's Second Annual Steve Fossett Innovation Award and will discuss his career and role of innovation.
Other senior leaders joining Kelleher at TravelCom are OTA presidents Hugh Jones from Travelocity Global and Barney Harford from Orbitz Worldwide, David Tessier, senior vice president and chief financial officer, the Americas, InterContinental Hotels Group and more than 40 executives from brands such as Google, United Airlines, TripAdvisor, Travelzoo, Kayak.com, Forrester Research, and Virgin America.
