Hurtigruten Launches Online Education Program
Agents Become Certified Hurtigruten Specialists while Earning Valuable CLIA and CEU Credits
NEW YORK, NY, April 1, 2009 - Hurtigruten has announced the launch of "Hurtigruten Academy," a user-friendly online education program that allows travel agents to participate in Hurtigruten's seminars at their own pace and on their own time. The easy-to-use program consists of 14 modules - each with a pretest, topical content, interactive activities and a module review - to be released on a monthly basis at www.hurtigrutenacademy.com. Upon successful completion of the course, agents become a Certified Hurtigruten Specialist and receive a Certificate of Achievement and window decal to display their achievement to their clients; in addition, they earn valuable CEUs from the Travel Institute and up to 15 credits from CLIA.
Each module lasts 15-60 minutes and is designed to educate agents on Hurtigruten's overall brand experience, guest demographics, ships, destinations, itineraries, amenities, sales tips, best practices and professionally address clients' concerns -- making them experts and improving their ability to successfully sell Hurtigruten voyages. To access the modules, agents must register at www.hurtigrutenacademy.com. Aside from enrollment in the education program, registration grants users access to agent resources such as press releases, a newly revamped image library and customizable collateral material.
