APRIL 15, 2009 - The addition of 11 Americas Best Value Inns during the month of March ended a successful first quarter of 2009 for Vantage Hospitality Group. All told, the company with the affordable alternative to franchising brought on 32 new properties across North America.

Americas Best Value Inn's largest addition in March was a 120-room hotel in Stockton, Calif., which was formerly a Vagabond Inn. A 100-room property that used to be a Days Inn was also added in Cave City, Ky., the gateway to Kentucky's top tourist destination, Mammoth Cave National Park.

The ABVI family welcomed new Texas locations in Huntsville, Woodville and Jasper, while other additions include properties in Bakersfield, Calif. (former Comfort Suites), Moss Point, Miss., Prescott, Ark., New Ashford, Mass., Macomb, Ill., and McMinnville, Ore.

Americas Best Value Inn's 11 new hotels in March (five of which were independents and the balance were conversions from other major brands) added a total of 664 rooms. Vantage's growth during the first three months of the year, which included two Canadas Best Value Inn properties, was 1,961 total rooms.

"We are very pleased with our first quarter numbers, especially as so many businesses unfortunately struggle during these trying economic times," said Roger Bloss, Founder, President and CEO of Vantage Hospitality, which is also the parent company of The Lexington Collection. "Our unique Freestyle Brand Affiliation model, innovative programs and comprehensive resources continue to attract new members and help them drive their R.O.I."
