Leading Cyprus Spa Resort Showcases New Wedding Packages at WTM
LONDON, UK, Ocotber 28, 2005. One of Cyprus' leading spa resorts aims to take a chunk of the growing overseas weddings market with the opening of their new wedding chapel this year.
Le Meridien Limassol Spa & Resort, voted the World's Leading Spa Resort two years in a row at the World Travel Awards, and nominee for this year, will be showcasing their new wedding packages and facilities at this year's World Travel Market.
Director of business development for the resort Kratinos Socratous said the new chapel was a logical addition to the resort that has seen an increasing level of interest from couples wishing to have their wedding overseas.
"Le Meridien Limassol Spa and Resort has long been a popular honeymoon resort and, with an increasing number of enquiries relating to our wedding facilities, we felt that the time was right to establish an on-site chapel," he said.
"Cyprus is one of the top destinations for short haul weddings and we have already had a large number of enquiries since the completion of our chapel in September."
The wedding packages will complement the many honeymoon offerings it currently has. Packages will include the use of the chapel, a wedding co-ordinator and a host of other special touches at no extra cost. These include flowers, fruit and a bottle of local wine on arrival, a room upgrade (subject to availability), decoration of the couple's room on the wedding night, canap'es in the room daily, a his and hers supervised Thalassotherapy programme, a champagne breakfast in the room on the morning after the wedding, a bottle of champagne on the wedding night and a room upgrade for the bride and groom's parents (subject to availability). In addition the resort can arrange personalised menus, entertainment, transport, salon services, his and hers wedding spa packages and photography and floral services.
The 'Residents Only' five star deluxe, Le Meridien Limassol Spa & Resort, boasts the biggest Thalassotherapy centre in the Eastern Mediterranean, with 34 treatment rooms, four outdoor and three indoor Thalassotherapy pools and over 125 different treatments from which to choose from.
It sits just 15kms from the historic port town of Limassol and 55 kilometres from both Larnaca and Paphos International airports and features 329 guest rooms, Citrus and Palm Court Garden Suites as well as Signature Suites. These include the 'Adults Only' Royal Spa Wing, which consists of 18 Royal Spa rooms, 6 Jacuzzi Cabanas and 4 Royal Spa Suites.
