WHITE PLAINS, NY, November 3, 2005. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announces the opening of its new Parisian landmark hotel, The Westin Paris. Managed by Starwood, the stylish 438-room hotel is located in the center of the French capital.

One of the National Treasures of France's Second Empire dating back to the mid-19th century, The Westin Paris is a luxurious, historic property that offers an enviable location, on the edge of the Tuileries Gardens, and only steps away from the famous Place de la Concorde and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honor'e. Whether visiting Paris for business or pleasure, The Westin Paris provides an upscale experience at the heart of the government, business, shopping and cultural districts of the city. In celebration of the hotel's opening, The Westin Paris is currently offering special opening rates ranging from $298/per room/night valid now through February 28, 2006 and is subject to availability.

Offering a total of 438 rooms of stylish elegance, The Westin Paris features 78 suites, the most exclusive and largest selection in the French capital. Guestrooms will treat visitors to stunning views of the Tuileries Gardens, the hustle and bustle of the picturesque street-life in the Place Vendome or the serenity and tranquillity of the hotel's private patios.

For fine dining options, The Westin Paris also features 234 Rivoli, a signature gourmet restaurant, tempting the palette with dishes prepared in the hallmark of great French culinary tradition, which in summer, expands to include a seasonal offering on the hotel's famous Terrasse Fleurie. Bar Tuileries offers guests the opportunity to meet with friends for cocktails in an atmosphere of casual understated elegance.

The Westin Paris, formerly the Intercontinental Paris, will undergo a $14 million renovation that will provide guests with the brand's distinctive and innovative products to be completed by first quarter 2006. Westin's Heavenly Bed(R) and Heavenly Bath(R) will grace every guestroom, and the hotel will also feature the recently launched, fully-equipped WestinWORKOUT(R) Rooms offering guests the option to work out in the privacy of their own rooms.

The Westin Paris offers a total of 21,500 square feet of meeting space including 12 conference salons and a 4,300 square-foot Imperial Ballroom. Accommodating up to 900 people, the 12 meeting rooms are ideal for large-scale venues ranging from haute couture fashion shows to intimate dinners.
