MIAMI, FL, November 15, 2005. Two additional Sol Melia Hotels & Resorts properties in Mexico, the Gran Meli'a Canc'un and the Gran Meli'a Mexico Reforma, and the Paradisus Puerto Rico received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating for 2006 announced Andre Gerondeau, Executive Vice President Central-North America for Sol Meli'a Hotels & Resorts. The hotels join the Paradisus Riviera Canc'un and the Hard Rock Chicago, which received the honor in 2005 and continue with the rating.

The Royal Pyramid at the Gran Meli'a Canc'un and the Paradisus Royal Suites at the Paradisus Riviera Canc'un as well as the Gran Meli'a Mexico Reforma are members of "The Leading Hotels of the World" portfolio. The Gran Meli'a Canc'un becomes the largest AAA Four Diamond rated Convention Center Resort & Spa in Mexico.

The Gran Meli'a Mexico Reforma and the Gran Meli'a Canc'un join a select group of AAA Four Diamond winners, as only 3.25 percent of the estimated 31,000 AAA Rated(R) lodgings are awarded the AAA Four Diamond designation each year.
