Robert Sighinolfi Named General Manager of Hilton Hartford
HARTFORD, CT, November 15, 2005. Waterford Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Robert Sighinolfi as general manager of the Hilton Hartford, a state-of-the art, $33 million luxury hotel featuring 392 guestrooms, approximately 15,000 square feet of meeting space, and Morty & Ming's, a unique, full-service combination Chinese and New York Deli restaurant. In his new role, Sighinolfi will oversee all operational aspects of the facility, manage all full-time and part-time staff, and will be responsible for revenue and profitability, as well as customer, associate and owner satisfaction.
Mr. Sighinolfi has an extensive hospitality industry background that spans more than thirty years. He joins the Hilton Hartford from the 305-room Hilton Long Island/Huntington, where he served as general manager since February 2003 and oversaw a $5 million renovation. Prior to that, Sighinolfi was the general manager of the Holiday Inn MacArthur Airport, Holiday Inn - Providence Downtown, and the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, where he played an integral role in the business plan development, opening and management of this four-star property.

Mr. Sighinolfi, a Certified Hotel Administrator, attended Westfield State College in Westfield, Mass. and earned a degree from the Culinary Institute of America. He has served on the Board of Directors of the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association, the Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, Action Long Island, and is affiliated with various local charitable organizations.
