Fine-Dining Steakhouse to Open in Carew Tower Next to Revitalized Fountain Square

. October 14, 2008

NOVEMBER 20, 2006. Morton's The Steakhouse will be opening a new location in Cincinnati next year, it was announced today by Morton's Restaurant Group (NYSE:MRT) , which owns and operates the 71 Morton's steakhouses throughout the United States and in Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The company said it has signed a lease to open a new Morton's steakhouse in the landmark Carew Tower, Cincinnati's tallest building, in the heart of the downtown area -- which is experiencing major across-the-board revitalization and development.

The new Morton's, which is scheduled to open as early as fall 2007, will be located on the southwest corner of two main arterials; Fifth and Vine Street, directly across from Fountain Square, a major downtown attraction.

The major expansion of the city's convention center, now known as the Duke Energy Center, has been completed and the center is fully operational, there is a surge in the development of downtown residential buildings, and Fountain Square is undergoing renovations and upgrades that will create a newly energized retail and entertainment district at the base of the Carew Tower.

The area is also home to some of America's leading companies, including Procter & Gamble, Federated Department Stores, Kroger Company Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, and Fifth Third Bank.

The Carew Tower trade area encompasses the affluent areas of Hyde Park, Kenwood, Villa Hills and Mt. Lookout/Tusculum.

"We are extremely pleased to be part of the dynamic revitalization and expansion of downtown Cincinnati," said Thomas J. Baldwin, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Morton's Restaurant Group.

Morton's main dining room will seat approximately 125 guests and Morton's luxuriously-appointed private dining rooms, known as Boardrooms, can accommodate groups as small as 10 and as large as 100.

Morton's Restaurant Group is the world's largest operator of wholly-owned upscale steakhouses and the Morton's brand has become a globally-recognized icon of fine dining.

Morton's specializes in classic, hearty American fare, serving generous portions of its specialty, USDA grain-fed Prime aged beef (the finest available), fresh fish, lobster, lamb and chicken entrees and spectacular desserts.

In addition to a uniform menu, an award-winning wine list and professional, warm and friendly Midwestern service, all Morton's steakhouses share the same luxurious look and comfortable feeling, with elegant decor, reflected in dark rich woods, leather-covered booths, subdued lighting and white linen table cloths.

The Carew Tower restaurant will also introduce Cincinnati to Morton's Bar 12-21. Designed for convivial meeting, greeting and eating, with 30 seats for dining, Bar 12-21 has rich decor, well-spaced tables, comfortable chairs, large plasma television screens and Morton's popular Bar Bites menu. Morton's bar selections feature over 50 martinis, including Morton's signature "Mortinis," the finest wines and spirits, domestic and imported beers, the best in cordials and coffee drinks.

New Morton's steakhouses are also scheduled to open in Anaheim, CA; Coral Gables, FL; Houston, TX; Macao, China; San Jose, CA and Woodland Hills, CA.
