Marriott Breaks Ground on Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel
BOSTON, MA, December 5, 2005. The $145-million Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel project is now under way here. Marriott International, Inc. is developing the asset for an institutional investor that will take over the ownership reins around the time the hotel opens for business.
Scheduled to premier in the fall of 2007, the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel will contains 471 guestrooms, more than 20,700 sf of meeting space, a restaurant, a restaurant lounge, a lobby lounge, a fitness center with a lap pool, treatment rooms, an outdoor terrace and a business center.
Payton Construction is the project's construction manager and general contractor. Marriott will manage the property once it opens.
