PhoneSuite Celebrates 8th Anniversary

Telephone provider is now the number two market leader in the hotel lodging segment

. October 14, 2008

BROOMFIELD, CO, November 22, 2006. Installing its first phone system in October 1998, PhoneSuite now has over 1,300 systems operating in small and mid-size properties throughout the country, ranging from B&Bs to major franchises.

With a simple commitment to delivering the best products at the most affordable price, PhoneSuite provides economical, yet feature-rich PBX lodging solutions designed specifically for independent hotels and limited-service franchises with up to 220 rooms.

This market niche has proven extremely successful for PhoneSuite. "I have a special affinity for smaller properties," said Frank Melville, President of PhoneSuite. "From the time I was able to walk and talk, I was working in my family's 60-room property. Small properties and independent owners have different phone system needs than large resorts and upscale properties, and the PhoneSuite products are designed to meet those needs."

Under Melville's direction, PhoneSuite has grown to become a market leader in the economy lodging segment. Growing quickly from a regional company to a national one, the group has experienced triple-digit increases in sales every year, with a 1200 percent sales growth in a single year. Gaining approved vendor status from numerous hotel chains, PhoneSuite systems can now be found in major franchises throughout the country including Choice Hotels International, Americas Best Value Inn, and Wyndham Worldwide.

Not only does Melville have the hotel experience to know what properties need, he has the technical education and background as well. Graduating with an engineering degree from Dartmouth, he went on to earn his Masters from Case Western Reserve University and founded Integrated Computer Engineering in 1984. This company created call accounting software for hotels and quickly expanded into general business solutions. Melville sold the hotel line to TEL Electronics and followed the general business line to Call Management Products, where he was instrumental in refining the PhoneSuite product line and became President in 2001.

"Telephony can be very technical and that can scare or intimidate a lot of people," said Melville. "At PhoneSuite, we pride ourselves in translating the technical terms into a language everyone can understand. A hotel's phone system is probably the most vital part of its operation. Our interaction with the client doesn't end with the sale. Hotels operate 24/7 and so do we. We are always available to answer questions and service our products."
