45th Le Touquet-Pas De Calais Car Rally
To take place on October 8 and 9
CALAIS, France, January 4, 2006. The 45th Le Touquet-Pas de Calais Car Rally will take place on the 8 and 9 October 2005, starting and finishing in le Touquet.
One hundred and fifty French drivers will take part in this event, which is, notably, one of the eight heats feeding into the national French Rally Drivers and Constructors Championships (see notes for editors for details).
Alongside this event, there will also be a vintage racing car rally for the ALGECO Sport Trophy which itself is a heat for the national French Vintage Racing Car Championship; the Retro Racing Magazine Challenge cup for drivers; and the Catherine Delmotte Challenge cup for co-drivers.
Le Touquet Rally is an intensive race that takes place over two days. Additionally, the Le Touquet heat will hold, this year, the West Cup Euro, a European competition of seven heats (taking place in Holland, Ireland, France and Great Britain), which will finish in Le Touquet.
The starting point of the Rally will be at Le Touquet airport, which will provide the press office, parking zones and the VIP village. The finale of the Rally and the winners' podium will be situated on the sea front opposite the Aqualud water theme park.

The VHC Rally (for vintage cars) will start 5 minutes after each 45th Le Touquet-Pas de Calais Rally part of the event.
Le Touquet-Pas de Calais covers a total distance of 450.820 km. It is divided in two legs and 5 sections. It contains 16 special stages (7 different ones) for a total 236,700km.
