RoomLinX and Eleven Announce Partnership
Hospitality network service provider RoomLinX using ElevenOS for their hotel broadband
DENVER, CO / PORTLAND, OR, January 5, 2005. RoomLinX (OTCBB:RMLX), a leading provider of high-speed wireless network solutions to the hospitality industry, and Eleven Wireless, a leader of software for managing public-access hospitality broadband networks, today announced their partnership. The two companies are working together to bring Eleven's software to current and future RoomLinX hotels.
RoomLinX has long distinguished itself as a leading network service provider in the hospitality industry, and earlier this year increased their industry reach in acquiring competitor SuiteSpeed. The combined company has made much progress this year.
"Partnering with Eleven makes clear sense to us. Their current software solutions, ElevenOS and ElevenBC, provide a strong differentiator and help us continue our growth," explained Michael S. Wasik, chief executive officer of RoomLinX. "Additionally, Eleven's software provides significant value to the hotels and helps us better manage the properties."
The Talbott Hotel, an early RoomLinX customer, was one of the first hotels in Chicago to embrace Wi-Fi throughout the entire property. RoomLinX teamed with The Talbott in 2000 to offer services to their guests, staff, meeting attendees and visitors. Realizing it was time to update their existing solution, The Talbott Hotel general manager Troy Strand, along with his IT team, looked to RoomLinX to comprehensively analyze their future requirements and recommend hardware and software solutions.
"After discussing our options with RoomLinX, their decision to partner with Eleven was clear to us. ElevenOS lays the groundwork for what we are trying to accomplish this coming year with the hotel's broadband network," said Mr. Strand. "The two companies bring together a solid, well-rounded hotel broadband solution, which is exactly what we need when looking at our requirements."
Using ElevenOS, the hotel will have the ability to view usage and revenue reports, delegate administrative tasks and set up group access accounts. Additionally, future products and services running on the broadband network can be managed using ElevenOS, such as ElevenBC, Eleven's business center computer solution.
"The Talbott Hotel is a great example of what we are seeing properties beginning to do with their broadband networks," stated Andrew Yorra, co-founder and vice president of business development for Eleven. "At first, hotels tolerated the deployment of broadband. Now these same hotels are realizing that much more can be done with the network. Eleven's software enables hotels to manage their network, grow revenue and increase guest satisfaction."
