United Exec Joins Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau
CHICAGO, IL, January 6, 2006. Jeff Foland, vice president-North American Sales for United Airlines, has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau's Board of Directors, effective February 2006.
The appointment covers a one-year term. In his role on the board, Foland will help guide the overall mission and direction of the Bureau in promoting Chicago as a premier visitor destination.
"The Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau shares United's interest in bringing people to the city of Chicago," Foland said. "As the hometown airline, United is proud to be an integral part of the visitor industry in Chicago -- as well as part of the city's economic fabric. I look forward to supporting the Bureau, promoting Chicago as a premier leisure and business destination and demonstrating all that this exciting city has to offer."
