Warnick & Company Sells Hotel Site Within Westgate City Center

GLENDALE, AZ, January 10, 2006. Warnick & Company, LLC, acting as exclusive agent, represented The Ellman Companies in the sale of a hotel development site to John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. within Westgate City Center, located in Glendale, Arizona.

The 6,500,000-square foot Westgate City Center is one of the largest mixed-use projects currently under development in the United States and includes the 17,799-seat Glendale Arena, a variety of destination retail, restaurants, theaters, and other entertainment venues, hotels, and multi family residential.

The sale represented a three-party transaction between The Ellman Companies, John Q Hammons Hotels, and the city of Glendale. The hotel site represents the first of five hotel sites to be developed within Westgate City Center. Development plans include a first-class, 330-room Renaissance Hotel with an adjacent 80,000-square foot convention center. The hotel and convention facilities will be operated by John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. Construction on the hotel and conference facilities is scheduled to begin in January 2006.
