Northstar Rebrands Hilton Southbury to Crowne Plaza
ATLANTA, GA, January 20, 2006. InterContinental Hotels Group announced today the opening of its latest Crowne Plaza hotel in Southbury, Conn.
The Crowne Plaza Southbury, which is owned by Northstar Hotels Group, Inc., and managed by Northstar Southbury Management, Inc., under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group is located at 1284 Strongtown Rd., Southbury, Conn., 06488. The Crowne Plaza Southbury is conveniently located off I-84 between Hartford and Danbury and is just minutes from a variety of restaurants, shops and the Antique Capital of Connecticut. By the end of 2006, the 197-room hotel will undergo a $2 million renovation and will include updated room d'ecor, upgrades to the lobby, restaurant, pool area, fitness center and building exterior. The hotel's Arrowhead Restaurant, offers American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the Lobby Lounge offers light fare and cocktails.
