Starhotels Upgrades MICROS OPERA
NOVEMBER 29, 2006. MICROS-Fidelio Italy, a subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that Starhotels, an Italian hotel chain with 20 four star hotels in Italy, one boutique hotel in Paris and one five star hotel in New York City, has chosen to upgrade its current Fidelio solution to the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution.
Starhotels is currently deploying OPERA in all 22 of its properties. "Starhotels is very particular when it comes to its organization and processes and we concluded that OPERA fit our centralized organizational model perfectly."
Mrs. Fabri continued, "MICROS-Fidelio has always been able to adapt to our specific needs. And we are most pleased that the deployment has progressed so smoothly with very little interruption to our daily operations."
"The Starhotels deployment of OPERA is a double success for MICROS- Fidelio," stated Manfred Kaiser, Managing Director of MICROS-Fidelio Italy.
