Air New Zealand Adds US Route
AUCKLAND, February 6, 2006. Air New Zealand is offering a daily service from San Francisco to Auckland from 5 June 2006.
First introduced with a frequency of three non-stop services a week between San Francisco and Auckland in June 2004, the popularity of the route resulted in services being doubled to six times weekly less than six months later. "A daily service to between Auckland and San Francisco will also support the inbound tourism market by offering visitors from Europe and North America more choice," commented Simon Bean, European Regional Manager.
"Our codeshare partnership with United Airlines and joint fares with Virgin Atlantic make travel to New Zealand via San Francisco an easy and popular option," said Mr. Bean.
The timing of Air New Zealand's San Francisco - Auckland services (local times) are as follows:
Depart San Francisco 9.30 pm
Arrive Auckland 5.30 am (two days later)
Depart Auckland 7.15 pm
Arrive San Francisco 11.30 am (same day)
Services will be operated using a mix of the new B777-200 aircraft and refitted.
