Cornell Hotel School's Center for Hospitality Research Adds Two Friends
Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, Hospitality Confections newest affiliates
ITHACA, NY, February 21, 2006. The Cornell Hotel School's Center for Hospitality Research has added two affiliates in its ongoing drive to build the world's preeminent hospitality research organization. As Friends of the Center, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals and Hospitality Confections LLC will contribute to new research that aims to strengthen operating practices in the industry.
"We are very pleased to join forces with two organizations that help us broaden our reach across the scope of the industry," says Gary Thompson, executive director of the Center for Hospitality Research. "HFTP will help us gain new insight into the financial and technological challenges facing the industry, while Hospitality Confections will help sharpen our focus on this important and fast-growing amenity sector."
Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) is an international professional association dedicated to providing members with professional development resources, continuing education and networking opportunities. With over 4,600 members worldwide, HFTP provides a global network of hospitality finance and technology professionals dedicated to advancing the industry.

Hospitality Confections LLC, based in Connecticut, imports specialty Belgium chocolates and assorted biscuits for the hospitality industry. The firm recently launched in the U.S. its premium chocolate line known as Ovidias, individually wrapped imported Belgium chocolates in a can. Ovidias won the Editors' Choice Award for best flavor at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show in 2005.
