US Spa Show Gets Educational

NEW YORK, NY, March 1, 2006. This year's International Beauty Show and American Spa Expo in New York will offer more than 150 skill- building educational classes.

The 2006 International Beauty Show (IBS), will be held between April 30-May 2 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City and co-located with the American Spa Expo. Last year the event attracted more than 50,000 beauty professionals eager to see the latest in products, services, technology and education, promises to offer attendees the best educational experience yet and access to an exciting show floor showcasing the newest beauty and spa products and techniques available.

The educational classes taught by some of the most talented and recognized names in the industry, and most are free with paid show floor admission.

Running alongside American Spa Expo is the CIDESCO National Congress -- sponsored by the Esthetics America CIDESCO USA and the National Cosmetology Association -- which runs two days and is open to estheticians and spa professionals featuring the latest technique and treatment classes by world-renowned educators.

Each year IBS New York and American Spa Expo attendees see products and services of more than 500 of the biggest and best beauty and spa companies from around the world, including Rusk, Farouk, TiGi, BaBylissPro, Takara Belmont, Belvedere, Pibbs, Repechage, DermaNew, Glymed Plus, American Express, and hundreds more.

IBS New York and American Spa Expo traditionally attract worldwide media attention, and last year more than 350 journalists from more than 10 countries representing newspaper, magazine, television, radio and Internet outlets were in attendance to cover new products and offerings. Leading salon and spa journalists from business and consumer media attend along with major network television and more.
