Sofitel Paris Forum Rive Gauche Sold to Marriott
PARIS, France, March 1, 2006. Accor has announced the sale of the Sofitel Paris Forum Rive Gauche Hotel to Marriott International. Located 17 Boulevard Saint Jacques in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, the property has 782 rooms and a 5,000 square-meter convention center.
It is one of fifty properties across the brand portfolios, which have been designated for disposal as part of the Group's property management strategy.
In Paris, Sofitel is targeting upscale travelers and focusing on mid-sized hotels in prestigious locations, each with its own strong personality.
After this sale, Sofitel will have 13 locations in its home town, from the Champs-Elys'ees, the Golden Triangle and the Garnier Opera House to the Bercy or La D'efense business districts and Charles de Gaulle airport.
