NFL Coach Don Shula Celebrates Grand Opening of First West Coast Shula's 347 at Sheraton Gateway L

Hall of Fame football coach Don Shula joined Kor Hotel Group to premier restaurant and raise donatio

Los Angeles, CA -- Kor Hotel Group and the National Football League's "winningest" coach Don Shula premiered Shula's 347 restaurant at Sheraton Gateway Hotel Los Angeles Airport with a grand opening celebration that hosted 300 guests and benefited the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Greater LA Chapter.

The reception on June 22, 2005 included a special toast and presentation by Jim Mandich, Coach and son Dave Shula, a live jazz performance, signature Shula's 347 cocktails and delectables and a silent auction with signed collectibles and sports memorabilia provided by Don Shula and other sports celebrities including Dan Marino and Gabriella Reece.

Michael Miner, Sheraton Gateway's General Manager, and Tom Santora, Kor Hotel Group's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, joined Coach Shula and his wife Mary Anne Shula in presenting Lance Slaughter, Director of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Greater LA Chapter, a gift of $17,000 including silent auction monies raised at the event and donations from the hotel and the Shula family.

The first Shula's restaurant on the west coast, Shula's 347 at Sheraton Gateway has 96-dining room seats, an additional 44-seats in the bar and a 32-seat private dining room. The style of the restaurant has been uniquely tailored to Gateway's new sophisticated urban design with contemporary features such as black ebony furnishings, elegant embossed faux ostrich embossed leather, state-of-the-art plasma televisions and audio/video system. Highlights of the menu include Australian Lobster Tail, Certified Angus Beef(R) Prime Rib, Hickory Angus Beef burgers and "Cowboy" steaks.
