DECEMBER 4, 2006. Travelodge will be opening 17 new hotels (1270 rooms) in major cities and towns across the UK in time for Christmas.

The 17 new hotel openings has created 400 new jobs throughout the UK and is part of Travelodge's aggressive expansion programme to have 32,000 rooms by 2010. At present the company has 292 hotels (18,500 rooms) in the UK, Ireland and Spain.
