The Ritz-Carlton, Denver to Open in 2007
DENVER, CO, March 21, 2006. The Ritz-Carlton plans to open its first luxury hotel in Denver, Colorado. The hotel will open in spring 2007 at 1881 Curtis in the Denver Place Tower Plaza.
The 19-story facility, which provides easy access to the16th Street Mall, as well as Coors Field and lower downtown, will include157 rooms and 45 suites, plus The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver. The hotel property is owned by a partnership led by Charlie Biederman,Steve Roitman andJim Cobb. Biederman also is an owner of the JW Marriott Denver at CherryCreek. The development team includes Pahl-Pahl-Pahl, PC, a Denver-basedarchitecture firm, Texteria Interior Design, based in Los Angeles, and theDenver office of Mortenson Construction, all of whom have extensiveexperience in the hotel industry.
The Ritz-Carlton, Denver will be situated on the first 14 floors of thebuilding with 13,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 6,500 squarefoot ballroom, a junior ballroom, business center, and lobby lounge. Atop-tier restaurant inside the hotel will add to the property's allure.
The spacious guest rooms will measure over 500 square feet each, makingthem the largest guest rooms in Denver. Lavishly furnished, they willinclude plush bedding and linens, five-fixture bathrooms, 24-hour room andvalet service, LCD televisions, multi-line telephones and high speedInternet access.
The hotel will feature a signature Ritz-Carlton Club Level offering,providing expansive views of downtown as well as an exceptional level ofexclusive services. Guests will enjoy sumptuous food presentations anddedicated butler/concierge services.
The plans for The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton include 23 residentialunits located on floors 15 to 19. The Residences will range in size from2,000 square feet to 4,500 square feet and owners will enjoy all theservices of the hotel, including housekeeping, catering, in-room dining,concierge as well as a private lobby entrance.
