Barcelo Takes Mexican Karmina Palace
MEXICO, March 20, 2006. Barcelo Hotels & Resorts has acquired the world class Karmina Palace Hotel along the Pacific Coast in Manzanillo, Mexico.
The hotel will now be known as the Barcelo Karmina Palace Hotel, and the 324 all-suite, all-inclusive resort will have a five star property rating as part of the company's Barcelo Premium Collection. Barcelo Hotels & Resorts reports paying $48.2 million (US) for the property.
The addition of the Barcelo Karmina Palace Hotel brings to 10 the number of hotels and resorts that the company now operates throughout Mexico.
