. October 14, 2008

LAS VEGAS, NV, April 12, 2006. Swarovski, the world's leading manufacturer of cut crystal, long known for its fanciful shapes and sophisticated color palette for fashion, jewelry and lighting, brings the same exuberance and exceptional product innovations to the field of interior design. Swarovski will present the world debut of "Crystallized Oasis", a spectacular suite designed in collaboration with David Rockwell, at the Hospitality and Design Fair taking place from April 27th- 29th at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. This year at HD as well as ICFF, Swarovski has aligned with the Rockwell Group to break boundaries and introduce crystal as a new and essential ingredient for contemporary interiors

The "Crystallized Oasis" suite will showcase the endless possibilities of Swarovski crystal. Drawing upon the inherent soothing and holistic qualities of crystal, this retreat will bring to life new design solutions for a more luxurious lifestyle through upholstery, wall and floor coverings, textiles, lighting, furniture, accessories, and more.

David Rockwell explains, "We're continuously exploring new ways of expressing the holistic and natural elements of design. This was an opportunity for us to expand these themes into the idea of accessible luxury. With "Crystallized Oasis", we were able to juxtapose the ultra-luxe elegance of Swarovski Crystal with organic materials like cork and limestone to create a series of soothing, tactile experiences."

This suite is a visually rich installation to inspire new ideas for home and hospitality design with unconventional applications of crystal, ranging from limestone floors laid with crystal grout, to cork tiles with crystal accents and linens adorned in sparkling custom crystal designs. The suite features a soothing serenity fountain with water flowing over crystal encrustations and a sparkling therapy pool filled with undulating waves of blue crystals, complemented by indoor/outdoor lounge pieces, emphasizing the idea of casual elegance. Custom crafted crystal lampshades and crystal fiber optic accents exude light allowing for the magical qualities of crystal to truly sparkle. In the context of the spa, Swarovski and Rockwell are mixing the purity of crystals with raw and authentic materials bringing a soothing quality into your home, bringing you to life.

Complementing these luxurious elements will be the new pr^et a porter or miniature versions of the haute couture Swarovski Crystal Palace chandeliers. These pieces are designed in a reduced scale version conducive for the home, including the critically acclaimed Blossom chandelier by Tord Boontje and Ball by Tom Dixon.

Swarovski invites you to the world debut of the "Crystallized Oasis" suite at location, 2663, and to the US debut of the Swarovski Bathroom made by Kludi at booth location, 5163
