Red Rock Canyon Opens in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV, April 13, 2006. A new Casino Resort opening next week will offer an alternative for those wanting to experience the luxury of a Las Vegas resort without the non-stop action of the Las Vegas Strip.
Red Rock Station is located fifteen minutes west of Las Vegas at Red Rock Canyon, making it the first billion-dollar resort to be built off the Las Vegas Strip.
The striking red sandstone formations of Red Rock Canyon, which has long been a popular scenic destination for hikers and rock climbers, inspired the contemporary, desert-modern design of the property.
In a city not afraid to push the limits of excess, the resort has once again raised the standard of indulgence in Las Vegas and features the most expensive (per key) rooms ever built in the area.
Property facts:
-
Red Rock Station will add 414 rooms to Las Vegas with an additional 436 rooms scheduled to open by the end of the year.
-
The hotel was deigned to be a cosy, intimate retreat with a boutique feel. A separate hotel entrance will allow guests to access rooms without having to cross the casino floor.
