Successful Hoteliers Take on New Venture

. October 14, 2008

UNITED KINGDOM, April 18, 2006. One of the most beautiful country house hotels in the Highlands is now under new ownership. Raemoir House Hotel, in Banchory has been acquired by successful hotel entrepreneurs, David and Verity Webster. Dating back to the 16th Century, the magnificent stately hotel is situated in 3,500 acres of parkland and forest.

These two entrepreneurs are keen to make a mark on their latest investment with plans afoot for a six-figure upgrade at the hotel. Fresh from the success of their intimate, luxury Castleton House Hotel in Angus, purchased in 2000, the couple have grand plans for their new venture in Banchory. Verity Webster commented,

"This is a grand building with stunning features, high ceilings and Victorian panelling. Although we are keen to upgrade the hotel, we are also determined to maintain a real sense of history and charm, to create a relaxed but luxurious feel."

The couple are personally overseeing all alterations at Raemoir House Hotel. The initial renovations include re-carpeting of the ground floor, re-design of the reception area, renovation of main rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms facilities and soundproofing work.

This latest venture really is a dream come true for the strong-minded duo. David has a wealth of hotel experience, gleaned over twenty years in the industry. Similarly Verity's experience in management and also interior design from her time at Whytock & Reid has been invaluable since the purchase of their Castleton House Hotel six years ago.
